Archipelago Renovation 2026 — cabin restoration to year-round living, RT member
Cabin renovation and restoration across Finland's archipelago — the Helsinki archipelago, the Turku archipelago, the Archipelago Sea, Lake Saimaa, the Åland Islands, Lake Päijänne. Restoration of an old summer cabin or log villa to year-round use or improved finish level: exterior wall additional insulation, roof renewal (metal, mechanically locked, bitumen), new windows and doors (3-pane or 4-pane, U-value 0.8–1.0 W/m²K), underfloor heating, building services (electrical, water, sewer or septic system), bathroom and sauna renovation, kitchen renewal, and porch, terrace and dock in the same contract when needed. RT member, over 10 years of archipelago experience. We handle logistics (boats, barges, winter-time ice transports), building permits or measures permits (shore plan exemptions, conservation requirements) and foundation restoration if they have settled. A typical 50–80 m² cabin restored to year-round use costs €40,000–150,000 depending on starting condition and finish level — on average €80,000 for a reasonable solution, €130,000–180,000 for premium class. Archipelago logistics adds 15–30 % to costs vs. mainland projects. We always provide itemised invoices showing labour and material portions separately. Request a free site visit.
