Docks and Shore Structures 2026 — wood docks, pontoons and steel-pile docks
Docks and shore structures across Finland's archipelago and lake country — Helsinki archipelago, Turku archipelago, Lake Saimaa, Lake Päijänne, Lake Pielinen, Åland Islands. We build wood docks (pressure-treated or larch, sawn or round timber, load capacity 200–500 kg/m²), pontoon docks (aluminium or HDPE pontoons, modular construction), concrete-pile docks (permanent in firm shore areas), steel-pile docks (in challenging shore conditions) and boat launches, boat hoists, swim ladders, and associated covered shelters and terraces. RT member, over 10 years of dock experience and dozens of completed dock projects. A typical 10–15-metre wood dock costs €3,500–8,000 (short home-shore protection for boat harbours) or €6,000–12,000 (swim-grade longer dock of round timber with larch planks). Pontoon dock €8,000–25,000 depending on length and load capacity. Steel-pile dock for demanding objects €12,000–40,000. We handle the permits: in most municipalities a dock under 30 m² doesn't require a building permit, but the Water Act requires notification to the ELY Centre (docks over 30 m² or with impact on water level). We use Finnish pressure-treated timber and certified fasteners that withstand the shore environment — ice, wave action and moisture. Request a free site visit and a fixed-price quote.
